Juliet Jenkelowitz

My Philosophy

No matter how old you are, your day likely revolves around moving from one task to the next. In our fast-paced world, it can feel harder than it should be to dream about what we want for ourselves and put thought into action.

As a psychologist, I see firsthand how important it is for people to have a space where they can tune into themselves and their needs without interruption.

Let’s face it, therapy is an investment of your time, your energy, and your money. That’s why I strive for each session to feel both meaningful and productive as we focus on tools you can integrate into your everyday life.

I use evidence-based practices with a style that is casual, warm, and encouraging, because I believe good therapy doesn’t need to be formal and inauthentic.

FAQ’s

  • If you would like to start therapy with me, you are more than welcome to proceed with scheduling a 60-minute consultation. This consultation will allow you to share about your history and what you are looking to gain from therapy. If you would like to see if we would be a good fit or have any questions, I am happy to set up a complimentary, 15-minute phone call with you before we get started.

  • I work with all insurance companies as an out-of-network provider. This allows me to provide highly individualized care for each patient without insurance dictating treatment. I provide you with a super-bill to submit to your insurance company with the information needed to request reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to inquire about your out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy. Helpful questions include:

    • Do I have out-of-network mental health insurance benefits?

    • What is my deductible?

    • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

    • Do I need a referral from my primary care physician?

  • I have in-person availability in Rye and Riverdale, New York.

I am licensed in New York and New Jersey and I am able to see anyone with a permanent residency in either of these states via telehealth.
